Brozinni Pizzeria in Speedway

Updated: Mar 27, 2022

With monster slices and perfectly baked crust, Brozinni was instantly one of our favorite New York style pizzas in Indiana. We went to the Speedway location on Friday, which is built into the front of an indoor go-kart warehouse. You can hear the whiz of the go-karts in the background and there is an omnipresent, but faint and not entirely unpleasant, odor of oil and gasoline.

We started with an order of four garlic knuckles, and figured they'd be about the size of bread rolls - but when they came out they were massive foot-long breadsticks tied into a knot and drizzled with garlic butter. This was our first clue that everything here is bigger.

Heads up, the small pizzas here are 16 inches. We got a 20 inch to split with sausage and mushroom on my half and pepperoni bacon on Chris' side. The gigantic pizza took up 2/3 of the table and was only cut into 8 pieces so each slice was absolutely massive.

The crust was cooked to perfection, thin and even all the way to the very center with a more substantial outer ring. Foldable, wheaty, pleasantly chewy.

I didn't notice anything stand-out about the toppings, they were fine, but the sheer size and consistency of the slices are what caught my attention. We took two slices home and they were just as good reheated.

Chris' aunt and uncle got the Riverside Drive, which is Pepperoni, Spicy Sausage, Bacon, Red Onions, Green Peppers & Ricotta. The ricotta was seasoned and slightly greenish but still the islands of creaminess you would expect.

All in all, this is another place we'll happily show off to out of town guests and is a fantastic representation of New York style right here in Indy!
